AquaBot 体感交互水下机器人

本文提出了AquaBot,一个体感交互水下机器人。它包括一个水下机器人和一个可穿戴腕带。机器人可以根据自身与玩家和环境的交互作用,改变现有的状态,如灯光、颜色和运动方式。用户佩戴腕带可以控制机器人。我们通过两个交互场景对AquaBot系统进行了测试,结果表明,用户的反馈是积极的,愿意与水下机器人进行互动。

Water games using water material or are played in a water environment, invite of human-aquatic interactivity and body play. With advances in digital technology and computer-aided design, there is a great potential for water games which can create new interaction experiences for players. In this paper, we take an interest in digital water play and propose AquaBot an interactive water game system that provides water interactions. It includes an underwater robot and a wearable wristband. The robot can change existing state such as light, color and movement, based on its interaction with player and environment. The wearable device is used to control and interact with the robot. We test AquaBot system through two interactive scenarios, the results show that users’ feedback is positive and many of them are willing to experience in future water play. In addition, we discuss design factors of digital water play from water environment, human and device. The intent of this paper is to inspire other researchers to explore and study digital water play and underwater robot human interaction.
